Dr Chris Saliba, a researcher at the University of Malta attended an international conference at Glasgow on Breast Cancer Research. Working of various subtypes of Breast cancer, Dr Saliba and his team observed deregulation of a speicific pathway in Triple Negative Breast Cancer that is of particular interest, as it can be targeted through novel drug therapeutic methods. A good response to novel therapy was seen in this particular subtype of cancer.
The work selected was presented with a poster presentation (see image) at the 9th European Breast Cancer Conference (the largest Breast Cancer Conference outside the US) held in Glasgow, Scotland between the 19th and 21st of March 2014.
The Conference proceeding including our breakthrough were published in the European Journal of Cancer.
We would like to congratulate Dr Chris Saliba and his team for this research and we hope to see more interesting research coming from Project ImaGenX in the weeks and months to come.
